How logic works
Rules run when someone leaves a screen. Each rule checks conditions and then jumps, shows or hides screens, or changes a score.
Every plan
Open the Logic tab. Pick a screen in the rail on the left, and its rules appear in the middle. Screens with rules show a branch icon in the rail.

What a rule is made of
- Conditions: what to check, such as an answer, a hidden field, a variable or the device. Join several with AND (all must match) or OR (any can match); click the AND/OR label to switch. A rule with no conditions is an Always rule.
- Then: one or more actions: Jump to, Skip to the ending, Show screen, Hide screen, Add to, Subtract from or Set a variable.
The order things happen in
- When someone leaves a screen, its rules run from top to bottom.
- Every matching rule's score and show/hide actions apply.
- The first matching jump wins. If nothing jumps, people go to the next visible screen in the list.
- Reaching an ending finishes the form. Endings have no rules.
Two ways to add a rule
- Add rule starts with a condition on the current question (for Yes / No: is Yes) and a jump to the first ending, ready to edit.
- Add “always” rule has no conditions and adds 1 to score, handy for quizzes.
