Spam protection and the Spam tab

Bot checks, a honeypot and a speed check keep junk out; anything suspicious goes to Spam where you can restore it.

How FormsAI stops spam

  • Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is submitting, usually without them noticing. (It doesn't run on custom domains, where the other checks still apply.)
  • A hidden honeypot field that only bots fill in. Those submissions are dropped.
  • Rate limits on submissions.
  • A speed and link check: a whole form answered faster than a person could read it, or written answers stuffed with links, is marked as spam.

The Spam tab

Responses marked as spam go to Results → Responses → Spam, out of your results, counts, exports and integrations, and they don't count towards your plan. You get a notification when something lands there.

  • Not spam moves a response back to your inbox, where it counts in your results and exports. It isn't sent to webhooks or integrations after the fact.
  • Mark as spam moves one the other way.
